Visit the charming nut market in Vianden! A unique autumn fair filled with local products, atmosphere, and tradition. Every 2nd Sunday in October!
A traditional event that returns annually and attracts many visitors. The day before the nut market, each local association starts harvesting the nuts they need for the event. As in previous years, a shaking machine is used to allow for fast and easy harvesting. However, several associations still collect the nuts the traditional way, using long wooden poles. After “shaking,” the nuts must be washed and dried.
The market also offers a variety of nut-based products such as brandy, liqueur, oil, pastries, cookies, liver pâté, and more.
