This day is entirely dedicated to the Grand Duke’s birthday and is traditionally celebrated with festivities throughout the country. In Luxembourg City and many other municipalities, parades, concerts, fireworks and enjoyable activities for all ages take place.

The celebrations already begin on the eve of the National Day, on 22 June. In Luxembourg City, the traditional solemn changing of the guard at the Grand Ducal Palace starts around 4:00 PM.
