Éislek Pied Hiking Routes
18 diverse walks in the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes
The Éislek Pied is a collection of 18 hiking routes in the Luxembourg Ardennes, also known as the Éislek region. A typical feature of the Éislek Pied is that every walk leads past characteristic places such as Bourscheid, Vianden, and Diekirch.
These walks are ideal to combine with a visit to cultural sights in the area, such as the castles in Bourscheid or Vianden, or the military museum in Diekirch.
On the Éislek Pied Bourscheid, you will also encounter the Deiwelselter, or Devil's Altar, a monument built with stones from a prehistoric tomb. The Éislek Pied Diekirch leads past two special monuments: an oak tree in honor of Napoleon's son, on Napoléonsknäppchen, and the natural stone monument Doigt de Dieu, which means 'Finger of God'.
Hiking through the Luxembourg Ardennes
The 18 Éislek Pied hiking routes vary in distance from 6.6 to 19.3 km and take you past characteristic villages, castles, viewpoints, forests, and valleys in the Éislek region.
Due to the variation in distance and difficulty, various walks are suitable for both experienced hikers and guests who want to rediscover hiking.
